I think this is a Ukiyo-e
If you have any knowbledge of what this is I would appreciate your input
I was told it is a Ukiyo-e of the Japanese Korean war back in 1880.
It is copy of Tokyo picture news paper "Tokyo e-iri sinbun".
pubishied at 1882 July 30th.
This picture tells about incident call "ZINGO-ZIHEH" or ZINGO-INCIDENT
That time in Korea, They had conservative wing and civilization enlightenment wing or "independence party".
Korean king 's family were holding goverment. they were independence side. and they wanted make modern military.
they organized new military by modern formation and equipment.
Japan had a bit modern military than Korean one. Japan military helped make modern military.
But there were consevative milittary too. they were treated badly.
Ofcourse conservative military didn't like it.
so soldier rebel against independence party.
Rebel army also atack Japanese , because Japan were helping modern military.
(They also atacked Japanese student and Japanese residents)
When Japanese embassy atacked by rebel one, embassy request guard to korean goverment.
but guard was not enough, so embassy were fighting themselves.
they could bear that day .
at the night of the day, embassy people fire embassy ,

then they runaway seoul to incheon. They had been sevelal ataccked from revel ones while they reach incheon.
From incheon they could back to Japan(nagasaki)by English survey ship.
